General harassment contact persons inform!Elokapina's general harassment contact persons (harassment liaisons) have begun a new term of office from March 1 to May 31, 2026. The harassment liaisons play a continuous supporting role in the movement and can be contacted in all situations involving harassment, inappropriate behavior, and conflicts related to Elokapina's activities—even outside of actions and events. We operate on the principles of a braver space and offer low-threshold support for resolving situations. This season's harassment liaisons are: @talitintti, @diedo, @kikkakakkonen, and @eeveeveevee, with @viimeinenniitty acting as the group coordinator. Contact the liaisons directly in Element or by email: hyh@elokapina.me. The role of the harassment contact person is to listen to the parties involved, take their experiences seriously, and help move the matter forward. Situations are handled confidentially, and the wishes of the person who has experienced harassment guide how the matter is handled. There is no need to hesitate or wonder whether the matter is "serious enough." If something feels inappropriate or unsafe, you can contact us without hesitation. We also help mediate conflict situations. Our goal is to strengthen a safe and courageous operating culture where inappropriate behavior is addressed and where everyone has the opportunity to learn and take responsibility for their own actions. Harassment contact person training on April 9Are you interested in promoting the principles of a braver space at Elokapina? As a harassment contact, you will offer help and support to those who have experienced harassment or discrimination and, if necessary, refer them to further assistance. You will not have to solve problems alone, but will always have a partner or group to support you. The conflict resolution working group and the support role working group are looking for new harassment contact persons for events, actions, camps, and as general harassment contact persons who can also be contacted between events. Harassment contact person training is useful for anyone who wants to be involved in creating a more equal and accessible operating culture. Harassment contact person training for Elokapina members will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in downtown Helsinki and remotely.
